Where to find free pallets?

Pallet.pngMost Bunnings stores will happily provide you with free pallets whenever they are available. Just speak to one of the helpful team members in the Timber Yard at your local store and they will be able to point you in the right direction.

To avoid disappointment, we always recommend to give the store a call before visiting to ensure they have supply.

Pallets come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Clever and creative Bunnings Workshop members have used recycled pallet timber in a wide variety of different projects. For ideas and inspiration, check out our Top 10 most popular pallet projects. NB COFFIN PROJECT NOT YET INCLUDED

The aesthetics of coffins and shrouds is a cultural matter. If it matters then it does matter but if the coffin's and shroud's purpose to simply transport a body from one place to another then there are health and other concerns to be addressed. In the case of natural burials the avoidance of materials that leave chemical bi-products in their wake they will need to be avoided. In the case of both cremation and burials, coffins will need to have handles of some kind and be constructed in such a way as to allow the  coffin or shrouded body to be easily consigned to the cremator or grave. Typically this means that there is stiff board on the bottom of a coffin or like arrangement under a shrouded body. It is always a good idea to discuss this concern with the cemetery or crematorium.
